It's team Uganda again! I hope you are all doing wonderfully in your various locations. 2 weekers, I hope your trips were fruitful!

This will be a short update. Our time in Bujubi was pretty awesome. Very chill, which was much needed! We did a church service, a crusade, visited a school, and played soccer & netball with the kids! It's was a lot of fun.

We adopted a new team member today. His name is steve. He is a chameleon. And he is sweet. But we left him in the village because we were moving into the city and we didnt want him to die of starvation. But he was a lot of fun. I think I will get one as a pet when I return to the states. Yesterday I had spent a good amount of time with this cross-eyed boy at the school. Well, I took a picture of him and showed him the photo... I think I revealed to him that he was cross-eyed cuz he looked really sad for a second. That was a FAIL for me. But he seemed to jump back from that revelation rather quickly. Another funny note, Toni was peed on by a baby. Haha to her cuz she laughed at me when I was peed on last week.

We're currently in Masaka. We have three church services tomorrow and some ministry in nearby villages on Monday and Tuesday. Then we'll be off to western Uganda in the Ibanda district. We've been having good times here. Please pray that we'll continue to stay focused and that the Lord will continue to move mightily.

Team Poland

Hello all,

We were in the high school during the day everyday this week.
Relationships continue to grow stronger and these acquaintances are
turning into friendships. The students are really beginning to trust
us and they are opening up to us and allowing us to pour into their
lives.

This week we also passed out a bunch of flyers on college campus and
in the city's main square for a concert that was being put on by a
local protestant church. We also attended that church's college youth
group and actually went to the "concert" a few days later.

We had 12 students from the school over last night for games and
snacks. Two deaf students from the school even came, which according
to the other students was huge because they're usually embarrassed to
come out. We'd played Mafia for 2 hours and then just hung out. They
love being with us, but we love being with them even more.

Spent tonight with a YWAM group that meets at a hotel and talks
English together. We watched 25 movie trailers for upcoming movies and
then talked about them in English wit da Polish folk. Interesting
ministry. They work on just building relationships with these Friday
night meetings and then later inviting them to Bible studies, church,
etc.

We are going to Auschwitz tomorrow. Should be a great eye-opening
experience. Please pray for us as we start to wrap up our time here
and as we look to leave the students with a life-changing message of
hope and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Team Uganda

Hello everyone!

We just finished 8 days of being out in the bush. We basically did day-long services. Usually with 3 speakers (sometimes four), a short break, and a crusade in the evening. And yes, it is as tiring as it sounds! But the Lord has been faithful. We've seen a few people healed, including a tumor disappearing! And at our last crusade last night, we spent a large amount of our time in deliverance ministry. Which was great because there was definitely such a heavy spirit just fighting us all week. So several people were being delivered from demonic oppression. The Lord is good!

Thanks to everyone who prayed for our health! We are doing just fine. We're currently heading toward Masaka, and will be doing some more work in villages for a few days... Yay for the jungle!

Last night we battled a hand-sized spider. No worries. We killed it. But Toni did beat me for scaring her while she took a picture of the dead spider. Please pray that this TL abuse will stop ;)

Team Dominican Republic ( and now Haiti also)

Hello to all our friends in crazy locations across the globe!

God has really blessed us here in the Dominican Republic! We've been working outreaches like crazy over the past week. Funny story actually, they thought that since we we're a "government" trip we didn't want to do as much outreach work as other short term teams. Lol! After we got that cleared up, we've been doing more work than the average team that comes through here (as it should be). However, all the time we spent in preparation over the first week has enabled us to really excel at our dramas and hip-hop dance, we've performed them all more times than I care to count and God has done great work through our efforts.

-Now for the BIG news:
Since we've arrived here, we have been in prayer for a ministry opportunity that we really wanted to be involved in. And through our prayers, as well as many of your own, the doors have been miraculously opened for us. Which is why I'm both humbled and excited to announce that we will be leaving Santo Domingo at 4am tomorrow to be the first ORU missions team allowed into -Haiti- in over 10 years! Our focus was on "expecting a miracle" and God really came through! We actually received approval from Risk Management for the trip on our day for prayer in the book. :)

We'll be working with an established YWAM clinic directly in front of the national Palace in Port-Au-Prince. At this location we'll be helping with the distribution of food and water to the victims of the earthquakes as well as taking part in the amazing ministry opportunities that exist on a daily basis. Please be in prayer for a move of God in the Haitian people and that we will have our hearts open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Oh, and for safety and all that stuff as well. ;)

We love you all, pray for you daily, and can't wait to see the work God will continue to do through all your lives over the remainder of your trips.

Team Uganda

Hey everyone!

We just finished up our time in northern Uganda. We were the first ORU team to travel to Gulu and it was quite the incredible experience! We did two church services, got to go door to door in a nearby village, and got to visit one of the refugee camps. Most of the people who lived in these camps have returned to their home villages, but this one was still fairly intact. We also were able to listen to a woman who was abducted by the LRA and spent ten years with them (in Joseph Cony's camp) before she escaped. It was very moving and heartbreaking to see how she is still affected by her time. It was definitely a blessing to be up there. We also got to go to a prison and speak to the inmates. 18 inmates received Christ! It was really incredible to see how the church within the prison is very vibrant and strong. It was definitely a highlight for all of us!

Yesterday we traveled ALL DAY to Jinja. We got to hope on a lil boat boat on Lake Victoria and see the source of the Nile River. It was pretty sweet!

Please pray for Toni, Joe, and I. We've been pretty sick these last few days and we are about to move into day-long seminars/services for the next few days, so we need to be top notch! And pray for the seminars. We have a lot on our shoulders, but the Lord is faithful and we expect him to move!

Teaching at the public school was so much fun! Jamie Baugh, ORU alum, entrusted her first grade classes to us. They are so energetic..Jamie's a beast! We are pleased to announce that we have found Jayde's lost son/ "mini-me". His English needs some improvement. Little Jack is being taught English in Jamie's class. We'll be sure to let Jayde know of his wandering child. Pictures will soon follow.

We will be starting to work half in the English school with the college age students and half in the foster home this week. We have already had the opportunity to build some relationships with the English students. They are very eager to perfect their English and get to know us.

Hope everything is going well for all you other troopers!

As of now, you can probably tell that we have either had too much sleep or not enough. We are running on about 10 hours of sleep per night.

Looking forward to the group of 19 students from Sterling University that will soon be joining us on our adventure.

Some of us are very much looking forward to climbing the Great Wall and gently tobogganing down it for 5 minutes and then purchasing our "I Climbed the Great Wall" shirts.

Alex, an ORU intern, is also here with us. Too bad he doesn't remember any of us..

Team Romania

We arrived in Medias, Romania around 5 am tuesday morning after traveling for 38 hours. Our main ministry while in Romania will be relationship building with those living/serving on the YWAM base and helping around the base in whatever way we can. Our first full day was spent cleaning out a shed. We were not sure how so much stuff fit in one small space but it did. We moved items from the third floor down the stairs, around the house, up a hill and to the shed. Thursday we started cleaning the third floor by moving furniture and sweeping. I'm excited about the third floor and the progress we will make this month. The center room is being turned into a classroom for the YWAM DTS (discipleship training school) students who are currently away on outreach in Kenya, Asia, and Moldavia.

One of our favorite parts of the morning is coffee break. Its around 11 am. Everyone stops their work to fellowship over tea, coffee, tea, fruit filled bread, chocolate, and a different assortment of snacks.

- YWAM base as a whole & the teams they have on outreach
- Relationships as they are in the building stages.
